- What does a fractional CMO actually take off my plate?
- A fractional CMO is a senior marketing leader who works with your business part-time. I turn your business goals into a marketing plan, recommend how to spend the budget, brief your team or agency and review performance, typically 1–2 days a week. You keep approval of strategy and budget; I lead the agreed marketing work. In Germany, the role is also called “externe Marketingleitung” or “Marketingleitung auf Zeit”.
- Will you help implement the plan, or just give advice?
- Ongoing CMO support includes leading delivery, reviewing the numbers and adjusting priorities. I can guide your team and carry out agreed tasks myself. The standalone sprint gives you an audit and roadmap; implementation is a separate engagement. We put the responsibilities, deliverables and exclusions in writing before work begins.
- We already have a marketing agency. Where do you fit?
- I work on your side of the table. Your agency can keep delivering while I connect its work to your business goals, set priorities, write briefs and challenge the results. You get someone who understands the detail and can help you decide what to ask for, approve or change.
- Can you work with our team or carry out the work yourself?
- Both. I can guide your team or agency through priorities, briefs and reviews, or carry out agreed tasks myself, including campaigns, analytics, landing pages, presentations and automation. We specify what I handle directly and what needs additional delivery capacity. The scope must fit the agreed time; media spend and any external delivery fees are separate.
- What does it cost, and do I have to continue after the sprint?
- The Marketing Clarity Sprint is a 10-working-day project at a fixed price of €4,900 plus VAT. You can use the roadmap with your own team; there is no obligation to continue with me. Ongoing CMO support is a separate agreement with a fixed monthly fee for an agreed scope and monthly cancellation after the first 3 months. You receive the price and terms in writing before deciding.
- Should we hire a full-time CMO instead?
- If you need daily senior leadership across a large team, a full-time CMO may be the right choice. Fractional leadership fits when you need experienced direction but the workload does not yet justify a full-time role. If you decide to recruit, I can help define the role and support interviews.
- Can a founder or solo entrepreneur work with you?
- Yes, when the business has customers, a marketing budget and the resources to implement changes. An existing marketing team is not required: we can agree focused hands-on support or identify where extra delivery help is needed. A sprint may be a better starting point than ongoing CMO work.
- Which markets and languages do you work in?
- My primary market is Germany, with in-person work in Rhine-Main and Berlin and remote work across DACH. I also welcome enquiries from businesses in Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Georgia. I work in German, English, Ukrainian, Polish and Russian. The Russian Federation is outside my service area.
- How do you handle your own business interests?
- I disclose any connection to a potential supplier before you make a decision. Your leadership retains approval of suppliers, strategy and budget.
- How do we check references and availability?
- Book a 30-minute introduction or email me with your business, challenge and intended timing. After the call, we can discuss relevant reference introductions, subject to client permission. I work with 2–3 ongoing clients at a time and confirm availability directly.
